Supported Living Program
AARC provides a Supported Living Program within a Prosthetic Supportive Environment (PSE) which is individually tailored to the person served. Participants develop independent living skills in order to return to the community and resume a productive life. Services are available on campus as well as within the community. Ann Arbor Rehabilitation Centers does not provide 24 hour care, but colaborates with various community resources to maintain a continuity of care.
An interdisciplinary approach is used to build skills and develop problem solving abilities. Outcome-based treatment planning is used to guide participants toward goal attainment and maximum independence.
Participants are encouraged to be actively involved in the community. We promote involvement in meaningful activities, development of social relationships, improving 'quality of life' and emphasizing personal responsibility as part of increasing independent functioning.
Hours of service are flexible, with scheduling up to seven days a week as needed. Twenty four hour On-Call contact is available.
