Nursing
After receiving her nursing degree in 2001, Susan worked as a pediatric nurse within the University of Michigan Health System. She joined the AARC team in 2008 and has had a strong role in developing the nursing department into what it is today.
Susan coordinates the new patient intake process and makes the transition of care as smooth as possible. In addition, she is actively involved in marketing – sharing and spreading the word about all of the therapeutic services provided by AARC. She achieved Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) status in early 2011 and attends numerous conferences and events to further her knowledge of brain injury and learn of new research. She maintains affiliations with the Rehabilitation Insurance Nurses Council (RINC), Case Management Society of America (CMSA), and the Brain Injury Association of Michigan (BIAMI).
